The Council of Automotive Repair
A Division of WMDA

The mission of the Council of Automotive Repair is to provide training, services and a legislative voice to the independent auto repair industry in Washington DC, Maryland and Delaware.

The Council of Automotive Repairs (CAR) is a division of the Washington, Maryland, Delaware Service Station & Automotive Repair Association (WMDA). For over 70 years, the WMDA has been offering its members advantages by developing and delivering programs designed to enhance profits and reduce costs; it offers protections by providing watchdog and lobbying efforts on legislation effecting member businesses; and it keeps the membership informed by fostering lines of communication within the industry and sponsoring educational opportunities for owners and employees.

CAR will be focusing its efforts on independent automotive repair shops and tire dealers in Washington DC, Maryland and Delaware. CAR offers a variety of technical training classes, business management and environmental updates through-out the year.

CAR members will be able to take advantage of WMDA programs and experience while focusing on the issues most important to independent automotive repair shops and tire dealers. Training programs, such as those for TPMS (tire pressure monitoring systems), ATS (Automotive Tire Service), Ford Power Stroke Diesel Training, and more at a discounted rate are available for CAR members.
